Storm & hail damage

Photograph damage from the ground and check your policy deadlines; a written inspection report with photos helps an insurance claim.

What this covers

Wind-lifted or missing shingles, hail bruising, dented vents and fallen-limb damage after a storm.

Before the roofer arrives

  • Stay off the roof, especially when it is wet, icy or after a storm.
  • Put buckets under drips and move belongings and electronics away from wet ceilings.
  • Photograph damage inside and, from the ground, outside — useful for an insurance claim.
